Fried Bean Curd with Filling is my home town food (Indonesia-Semarang city). It is simple but nice. There are two type of filling: filled with bean sprout, carrot and cabbage or filled with bamboo shoot. Both are nice.
Bahan-bahan:
- 8 buah tahu pong
- 2 buah wortel (potong seperti bentuk korek api)
- 1/4 buah kubis / kol (potong halus)
- 1/2 cup taoge
- 1 siung bawang putih (cacah)
- garam secukupnya
- tepung terigu dicairkan dengan air
- 8 pcs of fried bean curd (the one with whole in the middle)
- 2 pcs of carrots
- 1/4 of whole cabbage (shredded or thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup of bean sprout
- 1 pc of garlic (minced)
- salt to taste
- plain flour dilute with water for coating
Cara membuat:
- Dengan sedikit minyak tumis bawang putih dan segera tambahkan wortel, kol dan taoge. Beri garam secukupnya.
- Setelah semua sayuran matang segera angkat.
- Tahu pong di belah bagian tepinya
- Isi sayuran ke dalam tahu
- Celupkan dalam tepung terigu yang telah dicairkan dengan air
- Goreng hingga matang.
- Stir fry garlic with a little bit of oil then add carrot, cabbage and bean sprout. Do not forget to add salt as desire.
- Set aside immediately once the vegetables are cooked.
- In the mean time, cut fried bean curd in the middle (make a pocket on it).
- Fill in 1-2 tbs of filling into bean curd pocket
- Dip into the flour (that already diluted with water)
- Deep fry till golden brown.
